What CourtFull keeps: only in your browser
What you save (cases, favourites, preferences…) is kept in this browser’s localStorage, on this device. It is never sent to a CourtFull server. Another browser or device doesn’t see it, and clearing your browsing data clears it too.
Every key CourtFull uses in localStorage

Also, short-lived or technical: sessionStorage (courtfull-round-handoff) passes a list of addresses from another page to the round planner and is cleared as soon as it is read. The service worker’s Cache Storage keeps the app and its public data for offline use and (courtfull-reminders) the dates and texts of your open deadlines, so reminders also arrive when the app is closed.
The Back-up and restore page shows what this browser keeps; there you download it all as one file, restore it, or clear everything at once. Go to Back-up and restore
What leaves your browser, and to whom
Some features fetch data from other services. Your browser asks them directly; CourtFull is not in between and receives nothing. As with any website, such a service sees your IP address and browser details and applies its own privacy policy.
The regions’ address registers
api.basisregisters.vlaanderen.be · geoservices.irisnet.be · geoservices.wallonie.be
The address you search for, to the register of the region its postal code points to (without a postal code, to all three): Basisregisters Vlaanderen, UrbIS (Brussels) or ICAR (Wallonia).
Photon (komoot, OpenStreetMap)
photon.komoot.io
What you type, for suggestions as you type; the point you click on the map or your GPS position, to find an address for it; and the address when the register doesn’t (fully) know it.
OSRM and Valhalla (FOSSGIS, openstreetmap.de)
routing.openstreetmap.de · valhalla1.openstreetmap.de
Your starting point and the court, when you ask for a route (car, bike, on foot). Valhalla only when OSRM doesn’t answer.
iRail
api.irail.be
The list of stations (nothing about you) and, when you look up trains, the two stations of the trip.
Overpass API (OpenStreetMap)
overpass-api.de · overpass.kumi.systems
The courthouse’s coordinates, when you open ‘Around the courthouse’. overpass-api.de first, overpass.kumi.systems only when it doesn’t answer. The answer stays in your browser until you close the tab.
OpenFreeMap
tiles.openfreemap.org
The map’s tiles and fonts, for the part you are looking at.
Government map services
geo.api.vlaanderen.be · geoservices.wallonie.be · geoservices-urbis.irisnet.be · ccff02.minfin.fgov.be
Aerial photos and parcels (Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels, FPS Finance), only when you turn that layer on: for the part of the map in view.
Your browser’s speech recognition
Voice search uses the speech recognition built into your browser. Depending on the browser, the recording may be sent to the browser’s maker to turn it into text. CourtFull receives no audio, only the text, which then searches like a typed query.
Vercel (hosting)
The site runs on Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel sees your IP address, the page and your browser for every page requested, and keeps them for a limited time in technical logs. A shared link (/?q=…) has the searched address in the page address.
Vercel Web Analytics
Counts visits without cookies, aggregated: page, country, browser and type of device. A few anonymous events go along (kind of search, found yes or no, which tool), never an address, postal code, name or case detail. An address or point in the page address (a shared link) is removed before it is counted.
CourtFull’s API and MCP server
Whoever uses the REST API or the MCP server sends their question (an address, say) to CourtFull’s server. It looks the address up in the address registers (or Photon) and answers; the app stores nothing and keeps no logs of its own beyond the hosting’s. The share image of a shared link (/api/og) works the same way.
GitHub
github.com
“Report an error” opens a prefilled issue on GitHub, only when you click it. You see the text before you send it; you need a GitHub account.
Microsoft Office
appsforoffice.microsoft.com
Only in the Outlook add-in (/embed?host=outlook): Microsoft’s Office library.
Links to Google Maps, Waze, OpenStreetMap, SNCB/NMBS, De Lijn and other sites send nothing until you click them; the address is then in the link.
Cookies
CourtFull sets no cookies and uses no third-party advertising or trackers. Vercel Web Analytics works without cookies.
Legal basis
What is in your browser is not processed by CourtFull: it stays on your device. For what is processed (your IP address in the hosting’s logs, the aggregated statistics, questions to the API), CourtFull relies on its legitimate interest in keeping the site secure, working and improving (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and on your own request when you look up an address, route or train.
Your rights
You manage what is in your browser yourself: view, download and clear it on the Back-up and restore page. For the rest, you can ask for access, correction or erasure through the contact below, and you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority. Go to Back-up and restore
